Non-EU students at public universities pay a fixed semester fee set by law, currently €726.72 plus ÖH contribution. This is far below UK or US rates, but you must budget living costs separately.

Public vs private
Public: ~€726.72/semester for non-EU. EU/EEA: tuition-free, small fees only. Private: €3,000–€20,000/year depending on school and programme. Universities of applied sciences follow public rules at state-funded FH schools.
